This 1800 century home is well known in Prince Edward County, as it was rumoured at one point to have a tree growing through the roof many years ago.
The home was completely renovated inside and out, with interior work that included: restoring the original wide plank flooring, custom trim work to match the style of that period, along with incorporating some modern conveniences in the kitchen, laundry and bathrooms.
The exterior received an energy upgrade with 2" rigid foam insulation and new Energy Star rated windows & doors. A large porch roof was constructed across the front, which is vaulted and finished with white-washed beveled pine. Western red cedar shake siding combined with a window trim design that features crown moulding and multiple bull nose pieces finishes off the exterior of the home.
"Time was taken to explain costs, scenarios and solution. Our questions were always answered promptly and thoroughly."- H. MacDonald & A. Jeffray, Lonsdale
